KINETIC ENERGY MEETS AQUATIC RHYTHMS THROUGH VISUAL ART.
RAE (Resident Artist's Exhibition) - "Kinetic Undulation" - Joannie Fusella
In “Kinetic Undulation”, abstract painter Joannie Fusella, showcases work that encapsulates the fluid movement found in bodies of water, inviting viewers to experience the gentle flow of a river, the playful babble of a brook, the expansive tranquility of a rolling lake, and the majestic sweep of the ocean. The work harmonizes to create a mesmerizing tableau that not only highlights the beauty of water but also reflects the diverse life forms that inhabit these aquatic realms. Fusella’s artistry embodies the essence of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea, illustrating a dynamic presence through her vibrant brushstrokes and evocative imagery.
The exhibition will capture the essence of water’s kinetic energy, translating its rhythms and patterns into visual art that resonates deeply with observers. By intertwining color and movement, “Kinetic Undulation” invites the audience to immerse themselves in the aquatic world’s ebb and flow, experiencing the delicate balance of nature. Through this exploration, Fusella urges viewers to appreciate and protect the vital ecosystems that sustain us. Her work not only captivates the eye but also inspires a profound respect for the natural world.

For me, creating honest, soul-searching art is an expression of the inner self. It means
being true to myself and bringing that truth into every piece. That authenticity is what I
strive for. For the viewer, I aim to create a personal experience—an emotional or
physical response. Through color and rich surfaces, I hope each person moves beyond
everyday aesthetics, enters a world of shape, texture, and movement, and reflects on
how the work affects them. -Joannie Fusella
