Bra-VO! An Art Celebration of Hope and Breast Cancer Awareness!

The Bravo exhibition, aptly titled BRA-VO, is an innovative art show and auction aimed at raising awareness for breast cancer during the month of October. Artists from various backgrounds are invited to submit artwork in the form of a traditional bra, using any medium they choose. Each piece should be designed to hang on a wall, clothesline, or rack, encouraging creativity while adhering to the bra form. This juried event welcomes submissions that reflect personal stories, cultural significance, or unique artistic visions, allowing artists to push the boundaries of traditional design.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Halifax Health Cancer Center for Hope’s Breast Cancer Navigation Department. This vital service assists patients by providing transportation, lodging for family members, and comprehensive support from the onset of their diagnosis through recovery. By participating in Bravo, artists not only showcase their talent but also contribute to a meaningful cause that helps ease the burdens faced by those navigating breast cancer treatment. This fun and impactful event aims to foster hope and community support while raising crucial funds for those in need.
How can YOU get involved?
Apply to submit artwork in shape of a BRA, you could choose to sell it or donate it to the cause! 100% of donated work goes to Halifax Health Cancer Center for Hope’s Breast Cancer Navigation Department. You can also lend your support by attending the exhibition throughout the month of October. Or by purchasing one of our creative BRAs you’d help give back to both the cause and the artists. Cancer patient navigators play a crucial role in providing emotional support and comfort to newly diagnosed patients, helping them navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. Acting as a point of contact, they ensure a seamless approach to patient care by expediting the scheduling of appointments and tests. Navigators collaborate closely with physicians, healthcare providers, and team members, offering real-time answers to questions and valuable advice. They also connect patients with local and national community resources. For more information, contact the Halifax Health Cancer Center for Hope at 386-425-HOPE.
