A Violation of Trust

This is an exhibit of large scale paintings by Jean Banas which began as her personal journey toward healing from the outrage she felt against those who physically and sexually abuse individuals in their care. Her symbolic colors and bold gestures explore the intensity and range of emotions she felt towards abusers, as well as the different but equally strong emotions she felt for the victims.
